All of us enjoy the security of home and the comfort of being with family and friends. We thrive in a setting where we are encouraged, loved, and supported. We long to feel welcome, at ease, at home.

My wife, Wanda, and I have found a place like that in Sun City West - The First Baptist Church. We call it our second home in the Northwest Valley.

I first came to know this church during the summer of 1997; since that time, the life of the church and my life have unfolded together. I have watched people taste the joy of laughter and feel the pain of weeping. I have observed people trudge together through times of sorrow and leap side-by-side in times of celebration. All that has the feel of family on it - encouragement, love, and support - is packaged in people from all walks of life and is shared generously. And, those are some of the reasons we call this our second home in the Northwest Valley.

You will find people here who will help you feel at home. You will discover people from different backgrounds and varied walks of life - who share the common bonds of faith and fellowship.

Men and women here will open their hearts to you, wrap their arms around you, and say, "Welcome home!" You can count on it!
